The sale on Monday 23rd March identified that improvements will need to ensure everyone is adhering to the Federation Government’s social distancing restrictions. Federation Council will be implementing the following rules which will be enforced: • Only commercial buyers, agents and essential staff, transporters and Council staff are allowed onsite. • Only commercial buyers/agents will be allowed to purchase stock. • All people permitted to enter the Corowa Saleyard complex MUST register in the Council’s Register Book. • Council will provide a coloured wristband to people permitted in the yards. NO WRIST BAND NO ENTRY. • Only the agent selling the stock and essential staff will be permitted in the lanes during the sale. Other agents will not be permitted to follow the sale. • Transporters are NOT PERMITTED in the selling lane whilst the stock are being sold. • Hand wipes will be provided at the end of each lane. • The Social Distancing 1.5m rule applies to everyone using the saleyards. • Personal Hygiene: o wash hands regularly, lather with soap provided for 20 seconds before rinsing and drying o practise good cough/sneeze etiquette – use a clean tissue (disposed of properly after use) or cough/sneeze into your elbow • Kiosk will remain open for take away only. No chairs or tables will be provided. Maximum of 2 persons at any one time permitted in Kiosk. Social Distancing 1.5m rule still applies. Anyone not permitted on the site will be asked to leave. If they fail to do so, Council staff will contact the Police. Anyone not complying with the rules will also be asked to leave the site. If these rules are not adhered to, Council will be required to cease operation of the sales during the covid19.
